At our site on the edge of the woodland, we have a comfortable 38-bedroom purpose-built lodge, a Grade 2 listed cottage, complete with a fully equipped kitchen and communal living, meeting or dining area, a 10-person yurt, an outdoor classroom, and an 8-acre camping field.
Goblin Combe Lodge is run on a not-for-profit basis, providing affordable and fully accessible self-catering accommodation and day hire of the site and facilities all year round.

The Lodge
The Lodge is a sustainable building that sleeps up to 38 guests in bunk bed dormitories. Each of the ten bedrooms sleeps between two and six guests. The rooms are split over two floors with a lift for those unable to use the stairs. There are bathrooms on both floors with five toilets, seven showers, and seven wash basins in total (including a fully accessible toilet and shower). Exclusive overnight hire of the Lodge (for up to 38 people) is £20 + VAT per person per night (a minimum fee of £250 + VAT per night applies).

Groups staying with us in The Lodge will also have full use of the Cottage next door, with all facilities at no extra cost. The Grade II listed cottage has a sitting room to relax, eat or work in, as well as a fully equipped catering kitchen, complete with a fridge, freezer, commercial oven, and microwave.

The Yurt
Our yurt is situated just behind the lodge on an 8-acre field. It offers a flexible and atmospheric space that’s perfect for small group activities or performances for up to 20 people. Use of the Yurt is included in both overnight and day-hire bookings.

The Pavillion
Our timber-framed Pavilion can accommodate groups of 15-60 people and is a great area for talks, performances, workshops, weddings and many group activities including yoga. Use of the Pavilion is included in both overnight and day-hire bookings.

Goblin Combe
Open to the public 365 days of the a year and situated eight miles south of Bristol, Goblin Combe is a limestone gorge set in an area of natural woodland in the heart of rural North Somerset. It’s also a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) as designated by Natural England.
Across our beautiful 130 acres of woodland we have over 6km of marked trails that will take you over craggy outcrops, flower-rich grassland, and rich limestone heath. Originally purchased by North Somerset Council to protect and safeguard the woodland for the benefit of the community, this unique place will capture your imagination and wonder, providing the ideal setting for stunning strolls in unspoiled countryside. It’s also a fantastic setting for outdoor learning, restoring self-confidence, and exploration and discovery for young and old alike.

Staying Safe
If you are staying at our Lodge, you are welcome to enter Goblin Combe woodland directly from the Lodge site. Please keep to marked footpaths at all times. All visitors access the Combe at your own liability and we ask you to exercise due care in this area where there are several areas of steep ground. The area has natural high cliffs and crags, and there are serious risks including falling from a height, slips, and trips. No climbing is permitted. The site is a natural woodland and there are therefore risks associated with falling trees, especially in severe weather.
