A pretty campsite on the Pembrokeshire coastline with views over Freshwater West. Gupton farm is ideal if you’re looking for an activity break away, a family holiday or a big group gathering in Pembrokeshire, there’s plenty of space with the campsite offering up to 50 pitches for tents and campervans where you can be assured of a warm welcome and a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
This simple, rustic setting has great facilities including a toilet and shower block, a wet weather barn, communal areas and loads of outdoor space.
Gupton Farm’s the base from which you can explore Freshwater West and the wider landscape. Nestled in a cwtch-like hollow, our farm feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
It’s a place to escape, reconnect with nature and breathe in the salty sea air; wake up to striking sunrises, unwind with equally spectacular sunsets and enjoy stargazing after dark.
You can follow our network of footpaths from the campsite, go wildlife watching at the nearby bird hide or head straight to the beach for sandy adventures.
Our Stackpole Estate is only a short drive away too, if you want to discover more of the National Trust’s special places in Pembrokeshire.
Surfing paradise
The south westerly facing beach is popular with surfers and is often regarded as one of Wales’ best surfing spots, with consistent swell and waves.
It’s for the more experienced surfer as there’s a strong rip current – lifeguards are on duty at Freshwater West between early June and September.
Sandy Adventure
It’s not all about the watersports though, there’s plenty to see and do on the sand.
There’s buckets (and buckets) of sand to go around, have fun building sandcastles, try kite flying and enjoy this wild stretch of coast. The beach has a wealth of rockpools; mini explorers love delving into these underwater worlds and spotting marine creatures.
