Occasionally we like to share some great outdoor themed Kickstarters with you, this week we’ve found one that we really like. getting a good backpack one that is comfortable and practical is no mean feat.

We tend to swap our packs out at least yearly as they either don’t survive or they just aren’t comfortable – this new concept from Heimplanet looks like it could do the job if you are in the market for a new daypack, not only does the pack look good but heimplanet says the pack will be suitable for Commuting, Mountain Biking, Camping, Hiking, Traveling, Snowboarding, Skiing, Boating and more…

The Heimplanet Motion Series Active Backpacks

The HPT motion series is dedicated to an active lifestyle and suited for a wide range of activities from urban to adventure. A mix of functional elements and innovative materials create a unique concept that puts mobility at its’ centre.

The extremely versatile Motion Series is constructed with a proprietary 210 D Rip Stop Nylon Mélange with PEVR lamination that is not only sleek, but also ensures the best quality, functionality, durability and water protection.

Beyond the main compartment is a stretchable spandex layer that creates bonus storage space. This stretchable layer offers great flexibility and becomes the perfect place to store water bottles, snacks or what ever needs to be easy accessible. Alternatively, it is breathable and so allows a wet layer of clothing to dry while on the go.

Both the ARC and ELLIPSE feature a unique back panel and shoulder strap design . The HPT signature geodesic pattern is used to create a 3D foam panel that ensures a better airflow and reduces pressure points while carrying the bag. A versatile integrated interior compartment fits laptops up to 15″ and can also be used to store hydration systems (up to 3 litres). Two bladder accesses points offer the right flexibility to adjust it to your personal preferences. Additionally, a small exterior waterproof zipper gives you easy access to a waterproof chamber – perfect to hold your wallet, phone and other items you need to keep dry and accessible.

Both packs offer a unique hip belt construction. The hip belt can be used as a simple adjuster while hiking or biking, or can be just removed completely when not needed. The belt is compatible with two extra hip belt pockets for extra storage, which are sold separately.

Finally, all stress points are made out of laser cut Hypalon, a durable rubberized woven fabric, to ensure the best possible durability with a sleek look. Select Hypalon tabs double as attachments to strap on whatever else you may need to carry, while other Hypalon tabs double as zipper garages.
